THE WHOLE WORLD
IN THEIR HANDS
Chronicles of a Huxleyan society
Looking at the smartphone
Summary
The subjects of my photos are solitary people in the hectic urban context, looking at the small screen of their smartphones. They are alone but always entangled in the Huxleyan society we are currently living in.
Looking down at the smartphone is the climactic image of the Chtulhucene as it bonds human emotion and algorithms in constant information flow between organic and inorganic. That perfectly echoes my urgency to use logic to comprehend socially accepted behaviors.
